The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center has named veteran life sciences executive Derek Rapp as its chief operating officer. Rapp will assume the role this summer after most recently serving as a managing director at RiverVest Venture Partners, a Clayton-based venture capital firm where he focused on investment strategy, operations and life sciences innovation, the Center said Monday. Rapp brings over 40 years of leadership experience across nonprofit management and biotechnology as well as VC investing.
