Matthew Rubin,

PhD

Senior Research Scientist

Matthew’s research aims to understand the genetic and environmental factors that influence trait expression, the developmental mechanisms responsible for perception and integration of environmental signals, and the phenotypic variation and plasticity in quantitative traits. His current work uses high-dimensional phenotypic data to predict field performance with the goal of speeding up the selection of individuals to be included in the breeding programs of new perennial crop species.
