Big Ideas - Meeting Grand Challenges

Join us for a very different Conversations! Three teams of scientists from the Danforth Plant Science Center will present new ideas that address big challenges in agriculture and the environment. The teams, composed of some of the best and brightest young scientists at the Danforth Center, will engage in a friendly competition to communicate their big ideas in creative, inspiring ways. A panel of interactive judges will participate by selecting a top team, which will receive a grant to pursue their idea at the Center. Prepare to be engaged, entertained and inspired by Big Ideas from some of the Center’s most talented scientists.

About the Conversations Series:
Members of the Danforth Center Friends Committee organize panel discussions offering guests the opportunity to learn about the work of the Danforth Center and the partners that help to sustain it. Discussions focus on topics of both regional and global urgency and feature leading experts in plant science and related disciplines. Events begin with a networking reception in the McDonnell International Gallery at 5:15 P.M. followed by the program in the AT&T Auditorium from 6:00-7:15 P.M. Reservations are required for this complimentary event.
