Our Panelists:

John Tracy, Ph.D., is the chief technology officer of The Boeing Company, the world’s largest aerospace company. His 35-year career at Boeing includes serving in the dual roles of CTO and the senior vice president of Engineering, Operations & Technology (EO&T), from 2006 to 2016. Dr. Tracy has been recognized by many external entities, including being named a Member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2013.

Jerry Steiner, CEO of Arvegenix, has 34 years of agricultural and life science experience in marketing/sales, strategy, global commercialization, public policy and acceptance for biotechnology. Arvegenix is dedicated to the development of Field Pennycress as a winter cover crop that is also an oilseed source for renewable diesel and animal feed.

Toni Kutchan, Ph.D., is the Oliver M. Langenberg Distinguished Investigator and the Vice President for Research at the Danforth Center. Dr. Kutchan is currently investigating aspects of natural products that are found in plants which have potential applications for use in medicines and as components of biofuels.

Members of the Danforth Center Friends Committee organize quarterly panel discussions offering guests the opportunity to learn about the work of the Danforth Center and the partners that help to sustain it. Discussions focus on topics of both regional and global urgency and feature leading experts in plant science and related disciplines. Events begin with networking receptions in the Lower Atrium at 5:15 P.M. followed by the program in the AT&T Auditorium from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Reservations are required for this complimentary event.
