Tissue Culture

Plant cell and tissue transformation is the process through which the endogenous DNA is modified to understand or enhance the plants genetic makeup. Using tissue culture, new plant or cell lines are generated and from these transformed events which host the modified DNA within their genomes.

Tissue Culture Facility in attendance at 2010 12th IAPB World Congress

Members of the Tissue Culture Facility were in attendance of the 2010 12th IAPB World Congress held in conjunction with the Society of In Vitro Biology annual conference. The conference was held in St. Louis, Missouri the week of June 6 to June 11 and hosted very interesting topics along the plant tissue culture field.
