Why host an event at the Danforth Center?
The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is a not-for-profit research institute with a global mission to improve the human condition through plant science. Designed and developed by Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners and Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, our state-of-the-art research building offers magnificent spaces in a very unique setting.

What type of event is best suited to host at the Danforth Center?
The Center is the perfect setting for corporate and private events including luncheons, galas, receptions, meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars.

Does the Danforth Center offer multi-room discounts?

Is alcohol service available?
Yes; alcohol service is available.

Can I bring in my own alcoholic beverages?
Liquor may not be brought in from an outside source or donated for your event.

The Facility

AT&T AUDITORIUM
Our 302 seated state of the art auditorium is staffed by our on-site audio visual specialist who will be available prior and on the day of your event to accommodate your technical requests. The AT&T Auditorium has played host to numerous scientific, cultural and international conferences and events and is the ideal venue for seminars and meetings.

UPPER ATRIUM
The Upper Atrium is the main focal and gathering area at the Danforth Center. Able to accommodate 240 for a seated dinner and more than 300 for a cocktail reception the open design makes it a popular site for luncheons, receptions, dinners as well as expos, conferences and garden shows. During the warmer months the Miller Terrace can be used in conjunction with the Upper Atrium.

COMMONS
The Commons is located adjacent to the AT&T Auditorium and offers the perfect space for a breakfast or evening reception prior to events taking place in the auditorium. It can accommodate 90 for a seated dinner or up to 125 for cocktails.

BOARD ROOM
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a computer projector, projection screen and flat screen, the Board Room accommodates 20 for formal board meetings with additional seating in the room. The room can also be transformed to host VIP luncheons and dinners for 33. The wet bar and view add to the many amenities the room offers.

CONFERENCE ROOMS
This venue is ideal for seminars and workshops. Able to accommodate up to 40 in a classroom setting, the design of the room allows for flexibility to create a breakout space for 12-15. The rooms are equipped with a computer projector and projection screen.
