Education & Outreach

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is committed to providing educational programs that encourage and elevate public understanding of science and scientific research. Our education efforts aim to heighten public awareness that plant biology, genetics and new biotechnology applications play a central role in modern agriculture, global food production, human health and nutrition and environmental sustainability including the use of green energy. We provide a broad range of educational opportunities for people of all ages to embrace science, advance their own knowledge and make personal connections to the Center. By “sharing our science”, we strive to inspire a scientifically informed citizenry and importantly, the next generation of plant scientists.
