BioCassava Plus

BioCassava Plus is an integrated team of scientists from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America whose objective is to reduce malnutrition among the 250 million people in sub-Saharan Africa who rely on cassava as their staple food by delivering a more nutritious and marketable cassava.

Dr. Denis T. Kyetere

Dr. Denis T. Kyetere is the Director General of the National Agricultural Research organization (NARO) in Uganda, which is an organization responsible for improving agricultural research service delivery, financing and management through effective, efficient and relevant guidance and coordination. Denis received his Diploma in Project Planning and Management (UNCCI, Kampala); PhD in Plant Breeding from Ohio State University (USA); MSc in Plant Breeding from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth College, UK; and BSc (Hons) in Botany and Zoology from Makerere University, Uganda. He has held key positions in several national, sub-regional organizations and is currently the Chairperson of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA).
