The imaging facility’s electron microscope will be used both for high resolution analysis of plant cell structure in thin sections and for cryo-EM study of isolated macromolecules and macromolecular complexes in the vitrified state. This fulfills the needs of institute scientists, from cellular biologists to structural biologists.
