A vision for new and safer sources of food, pharmaceuticals and energy
An increasing number of organisms are being engineered with the goal of increasing scientific knowledge, developing better food and safer environmental products, and producing renewable and/or sustainable sources of energy.  This international scientific symposium, "Frontiers in Transgenesis" will explore the future of transgenesis with the goal of charting a course and shared vision for new and safer sources of food, pharmaceuticals and energy.

Over the course of the three-day symposium, six multi-speaker sessions will explore research and advances related to the following topics:

Studies and Applications in Development Biology
Innate and Acquired Immunity
Novel Materials in Transgenic Organisms
Transgenic Organisms for Food and Health
Systems Biology Through Transgenic Technologies
New Methods for Transgenesis

Meeting participants will also have the opportunity to take part in the following Round Table Discussions:

Food versus Renewable Energy
Impact of Biosafety Issues

All attendees are welcome to participate in the Poster Session!

Registration open until September 7, 2007 ~ Fees include access to all sessions, lunches, cocktails, coffee breaks, beer and wine tasting and a DVD containing all presentations.

**Reduced registration fees for post-docs and graduate students.**
